Introducing ABEN’s Micro-Credential programs. These programs are a series of online video modules, ranging from 3 to 10 hours in total. Participants will engage with each required module and complete a brief examination to demonstrate their proficiency in the subject matter. Our Micro-Credential programs are authenticated by Credly, ensuring credibility and reliability. Upon successful completion of the program requirements, participants will be awarded a Digital Badge.

Digital Badge Offerings
Insurance Micro-Credentials.
Homeowners Insurance Micro-Credential (10 Hours) provides a clear and practical overview of the ISO 2022 Homeowners Program, including policy structure, coverage forms, and key endorsements. The course covers essential topics such as dwelling policies, property and liability coverage, eligibility guidelines, additional insureds, home-sharing, wind-driven rain, and recreational vehicles. It also addresses policy exclusions, rating factors, and underwriting considerations. With a focus on real-world application, you’ll learn how different coverage forms apply in everyday and complex insurance situations. By the end of the course, you’ll have a strong understanding of homeowners insurance and be better prepared to handle core policy concepts with confidence.
Personal Auto Insurance Micro-Credential (10 Hours) offers a thorough introduction to the ISO Personal Auto Policy (PAP), including its structure, eligibility requirements, and core coverage components. You’ll explore key topics such as underwriting practices, rating factors, liability coverage, medical payments, uninsured motorist protection, and vehicle damage coverage. The course also examines endorsements and special situations like jointly owned vehicles, business use, and non-traditional living arrangements. Through real-world scenarios and case studies, you’ll learn how to identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions. By the end of the course, you’ll be prepared to navigate personal auto insurance policies and provide informed, practical guidance to clients.
Workers’ Compensation Micro-Credential (10 Hours) is a structured, nine-course program designed to give HR and insurance professionals a solid understanding of workers’ compensation—from foundational principles to advanced applications. Participants will explore essential topics such as employee eligibility, occupational injury criteria, the role of the Alternate Employer Endorsement, Employers’ Liability coverage, experience mod calculations, multi-state coverage challenges, claims management strategies, and the premium audit process. Courses include engaging content on historical context, legal considerations, and real-world best practices.

Join us for a crucial, potentially life-saving Workplace Safety Micro-Credential program, offering a comprehensive curriculum to equip participants with vital knowledge and skills for ensuring workplace safety and managing emergencies effectively. The program comprises five modules covering key areas such as threat recognition, emergency response, life-saving medical training, interaction with first responders, and deescalation techniques. Completion of all modules and associated exams leads to a Workplace Safety Micro-Credential, showcasing proficiency in incident preparedness and dedication to maintaining a secure work environment. Notably, this program aligns with California’s Workplace Safety legislation SB 553, providing essential compliance training and reference materials.
